I am a fourth-year Ph.D. ecology student with a dual degree in International Agriculture and Development (INTAD) at Pennsylvania State University, expecting to graduate in Spring 2025. I have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, and my research focuses on utilizing advanced technology and AI for ecological research. My research interests include ecological systems monitoring, modeling, and management. You can take a look at my research page to learn more about my research approach.
In addition to my research, I've also received training and experience with extension. I took a semester-long course on program evaluation and a short training course on extension. As part of my extension training, I've developed extension programs and evaluation plans. You can take a look at my extension page for more details.
Throughout my graduate education, I've written and won grants ranging from $100,000 to $1M. I was one of the 23 student principal investigators awarded the $100,000 Elon Musk XPRIZE Carbon Removal Student Award to develop a measurement verification and reporting (MRV) system for carbon capture. For this grant, I created an MRV system for growing trees with smallholder farmers, which you can find more about on my awards and grants page and my publications page.
